Technical Engineer Vacancy
Xicon has a team of technical engineers who perform a variety of IT managed services and consultancy assignments for our customers. This position has become available due to an increasing demand for our services.
The team has a mix of skills covering in particular Microsoft, Oracle, VMware and Equallogic technologies. An increase in the number of customers requiring remote DBA, migrations and upgrades and help desk services has been the driver to expanding the team and we need to increase the number in the team to meet demand.
We are looking for someone who ideally has an Oracle technology administration background, around 18 months experience and is keen to achieve certification status in this and the other key technologies mentioned above.
The successful candidate will be degree educated, must be interested in the latest technology, and will aspire to provide the highest levels of customer service.
A positive approach and "can do" attitude is vital as is the thirst for new knowledge. Xicon will provide all necessary training, but the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate at interview a depth of knowledge and enthusiasm for the technologies and approaches as detailed below. There is no doubt that the personality and communication skills will be key elements in deciding the suitability of the candidate.
